My name is Robbie Pearce. I was born and raised in Texas, but have been in Las Vegas for more than 25 years. I am a single parent with two adopted daughters and I have a grandson. My daughter Autumn has a 3 year old named Alexander, whom I call “Al“. My other daughter, Stephanie is attending Odyssey Charter School. I have two large dogs and a puppy. I foster puppies and kittens for the Lied Animal Foundation when needed.
I have been with Virtual High School for the last two years as a part time instructor and now have joined the staff full time. I feel that I am an effective online Math teacher. I love math, kids and computers, so I believe this is a good match for my abilities. I will be attending UNLV to earn my Masters in Education in the very near future.
I was in the Army during Desert Storm but was stationed here in the U.S. at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Division: 101st Airborne, Company: 584th Maintenance. I went into the Army to earn benefits for college. Of which I took full advantage of by getting my BA in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics.
I am a Girl Scout Leader for a Cadet Troop (6th - 9th Grade). My most interesting camping trip was at Zion National Park which was a really nice place to camp other than the fact it was raining caterpillars the whole weekend. I mean actually raining caterpillars who where falling out of the trees trying to find a place to build their cocoons.
