My name is Brooke Ansley O’Gara, and this will be my 8th year teaching math for the Clark County School District. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Math Applications during my 8 years. I began my teaching career at Western High School, then on to Advanced Technologies Academy, and for the past two years I have taught for Virtual High School, which has been a really exciting experience for me.
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree from UNLV in secondary education in mathematics, and a Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am the sponsor of the Humane Society Club for Virtual High school. I really care about animals, and do everything I can to help the growing pet overpopulation here in Las Vegas! (Get your pets spayed and neutered!!!) You can often find me volunteering for the Humane Society on Sunday afternoons.
On a personal note, I am married to the infamous Daniel O’Gara who also teaches US History and AP Government for Virtual High School. We have a 2 year old daughter, Danielle, who is the love of our life!! Even though we only have 1 child, our house if full. We also have two dogs, a schnauzer named Brutus, and a poodle mix named Bob. Then add on the two cats, Cookie and Scout, and you can tell that our home is pretty packed.
