Computer Applications I

This one-year course is an introduction to various aspects of computer technology. Students will receive instruction in proper keyboarding techniques, word processing, spreadsheet, database, multimedia, and desktop publishing. Prior to enrolling in any advanced computer course, students should successfully complete this course. This course is eligible for Tech-Prep credit with the Community College of Southern Nevada. Students completing this full-year course will earn either one-half computer credit and one-half elective credit or one of the elective credits required for high school graduation. Virtual High School offers the first semester of this course in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
