Calculus AB AP

This one-year, college-level course is intended for students who have a thorough knowledge of pre-calculus mathematics. Students should have a strong background in advanced algebra, geometry and trigonometry. This course includes a brief review of pre-calculus topics, a study of limits and the differentiation and integration of functions of a single variable. Emphasis will be placed on the application of technology and theory to solve problems. A major goal of the course will be to prepare students to sit for AP/AB examination and/or IB examination. Calculus AP/AB will fulfill one unit of the mathematics credits required for graduation.
