Algebra II

This second-year course in algebra represents a mathematical progression from the concept of numbers as experienced in arithmetic to the notion of properties of numbers without regard to their value, a necessary tool for sciences applications. Formal abstraction will enable students to understand and analyze data in many occupational and academic fields. The use of current technology such as graphing calculators and computer software is an integral part of this course. This course will fulfill one of the mathematics credits required for graduation.
