Students who choose to participate in courses with the
Clark County Virtual High School need to examine their personal skills
and aptitudes for taking a class from a distance. When recruiting students,
look for the following qualities.
Look for kids who:
- Are independent learners
- Can manage their time efficiently
- Have good study habits
- Maintain good organizational skills
- Demonstrates average work in a face to face setting
- Have basic computer skills (ie, downloading, using email with attachments, web surfing)
- May need more of a challenge or want to take an extra
class (AP® courses)
Overall, the staff of the CCSD Virtual HS believes that
every individual who has the motivation and self-direction to take our
courses will achieve success in our "any time, any place" virtual
environment. Meeting the needs of our individual students is our top priority.
