CCSD Virtual High School (VHS) became a diploma granting school in the
Clark County School District during the 2004-2005 school year. The high school has evolved from the former
Distance Education program. The high school began accepting both full-time and
part-time students in the fall 2004 school year.
We offer our students a quality education through our online, interactive course format consisting of Blackboard, our learning management system, and Centra, our syncronous communication system. Courses are primarily based on eText and supplemental online learning materials.
Additional courses are offered each year in response to
the needs of students in Nevada. Credits earned through VHS are recorded on students’ high school transcripts upon
completion of coursework.
We are proud of what we have accomplished over the past
ten years and look forward to continuing to provide high quality, innovative
distance education courses to high school students. We welcome this opportunity
to extend CCSD’s learning choices to students.
