Hello Volts – I am privileged to say this is my third year as the Assistant Principal of Virtual High School. Like you, I am a product of the Clark County School District. Born and raised in Vegas, I am a graduate of Chaparral High School. Although unbeknownst to most, I spent many summers stomping around my cousins’ farms in Pender, Nebraska. Go Huskers!
After graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, I returned to Las Vegas to begin my career in education teaching at Greenspun Junior High School. Once I received my Masters in Administration, I joined the staff at Basic High School then Silvestri Junior High School as a Dean of Students.
Sharing the gift of education has been a theme within my family. My mother taught kindergarten for 40 years and my father was the Principal of Western High School as well as the Athletic and Activity Director of CCSD. I am also extremely proud of my sister who is a pediatrician. Virtual High School brings many exciting opportunities to our students today. Our vision is to use technology to promote lifelong learning and enrich educational opportunities for our students. Welcome to the Virtual family. You are in for an unbelievable experience!
